With this in mind, the YouTuber and his guide had already climbed Mont Blanc and the Matterhorn, but also peaks of the Himalayas, because the permit to begin the ascent of Everest is only issued to people who can attest to the fact of having already climbed a summit of more than 7000 m.
“I am aware that I have his life in my hands. But I prepared him as if I had prepared any client except that we saw each other a lot more,” Mathis Dumas confided to our colleagues at 20 Minutes. The adventure of a lifetime for this experienced mountaineer as well, since he had never imagined attempting the ascent of Everest: “Firstly, because you need a huge budget to afford it but also because it is not the most ethical climb,” he admitted. During a live session with its subscribers, Inoxtag estimated the overall cost of its adventure “between 600,000 and 1.2 million euros”.
