San Francisco, USA – James Steven Donaldson, better known as MrBeast, is making YouTube videos that are making many fans jaw drop. MrBeast uses his success and the wealth that goes with it for philanthropic purposes – and of course content. A new video in which the super-rich influencer lets 1,000 blind people see again sparks heated discussions.

MrBeast heals the blind and makes a YouTube video out of it – That’s why many find it “demonic”

What happened? MrBeast paid 1,000 people for eye surgery and was compared to Jesus – his latest video was viewed over 50 million times in 48 hours. With the gigantic success, it is clear that not everyone can appeal to the video. On social media, MrBeast sparks a lot of discussion about altruistic content, the American healthcare system, and the man behind the videos themselves.

Why are some people bothered by the video? While the bottom line is that giving sight to 1,000 people is a good thing for MrBeast, some haters find it problematic to make content out of it. This suggests that doing something good is only worthwhile if you benefit from it yourself. MrBeast is one of the largest YouTube channels and reaches a correspondingly large number of people with its content.

In addition, many are bothered by the fact that MrBeast can only help because he previously played by the rules of capitalism. He has accumulated so much wealth that every good deed he does is weighed in gold and argued that the YouTuber can help many more people.

Something about it is so demonic and I can’t even put my finger on what it is‘ read a viral tweet accompanying the MrBeast video. For the author of the tweet, MrBeast is “intriguing and bizarre“, but it rings alarm bells in him if it’s a rich YouTuber who has to take care of the fate of entire families.

MrBeast heals the blind and ignites heated discussion – difficult conditions in the USA

Streamer is hateful: HasanAbi is one of the biggest streamers on Twitch and also reacted to MrBeast’s video. Sheer hatred also spread to him when he watched how the rich YouTuber had blind people healed – but on the American healthcare system. HasanAbi calls for donations instead of boycotts at Hogwarts Legacy. We have included a clip from HasanAbi for you here.

The actual problem: For many – including MrBeast – it is incomprehensible why the state does not cover the costs of the surgery and people are therefore literally not allowed to see anything. So it seems that the video also draws attention to serious social injustices and advances the debates on public health insurance in the USA.

Social media users suspect that even if MrBeast achieved world peace, the haters would be angry. MrBeast even has a skin in Fortnite, and with more YouTube actions like this, he’ll spread his influence even further – in a poll on Twitter, a number of fans agreed to vote for him as President of the USA.
