“If you’re watching this video, I’m dead,” were the words used by famous content creator Paul Harrell to announce his own death.
This past Wednesday, September 4, subscribers of the popular youtuber received the worst notification of all. “I’m dead,” Harrel wrote in the video’s caption.
As the content creator himself explained through his YouTube channel, the heartbreaking video had been recorded on December 23, 2023, but his family published it after his death just 24 hours ago.
“I’m recording this and giving instructions to Brad [Nelson, manager de Harrell] to post it after I die, so if you’re watching me, I’m dead,” he says at the top of his latest video.
“A few months ago, I sat here on this log and told you that I had been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. I told you that they caught it early and that we would be here for a while. Well, we caught it early, but not as early as I had thought,” he told his 1.2 million subscribers.
“My time is running out,” he added, after sharing that he had broken his hip and was now using a crutch to get around.
Paul Harrell was a YouTuber who shared educational content about firearms, hunting, and survival.. Often, her posts ended with the phrase, “Don’t try this at home and thanks for watching.”
