Funny or moving stories are published daily on social media like YouTube. One of them was that of a little dog whose owners had abandoned her due to ‘her advanced age’.
This is the case of Sheba, a 16-year-old canine who was found by a man in a garbage container located on the street of Jacksonville, Florida (USA).
As reported Earl Sparkman to the News4jax medium, he found the mascot stressed and panting through the garbage.
“When I lifted the lid, the heat coming out was unbearable,” Sparkman said. The Samaritan immediately contacted the authorities, who arrived at the scene and transferred the canine to a local shelter.
An animal control officer discovered that Sheba had a microchip. Notifying the owner of what happened, the 65-year-old claimed that he wanted his mascot for his age. In addition, he suffered from blindness and had also lost his hearing.
After having testified before the Police, the subject was arrested for an act of cruelty against animals.
