This adjustment will be made when adding the video to the platform, but it can be readjusted at any time. For users, the dubbing can be modified using the icon next to the image quality adjustment.
While this is good news for users, the change is even better for video creators. The content will be covered in multiple languages, allowing the video to be watched anywhere in the world. This will certainly generate a wide reach of all contents, mainly due to the update that will guarantee the tool for old videos.
The videos had subtitles in some languages, but YouTube said that foreign videos are rarely consumed by people who cannot read or do not like subtitles. People who use the platform on smaller devices also complain that subtitles are difficult to follow.
New feature testing
Before launch, tests were carried out for some users of the platform. Around 3,500 videos were watched in 40 different languages, with 2 million daily hours of dubbing watched on YouTube. It is believed that the platform will send a message so that eligible video creators can add voiceover to their content, which should happen in the coming weeks.
