Video-summary of the day
As every day we bring you a video with the most important news of the day. The first one is Fabio Quartararo’s reaction to the second sanction they imposed on him. This second penalty is for wearing the suit unbuttoned and having thrown the bib on the Barcelona track: “Congratulations to everyone who has asked for another sanction to be applied to me. I didn’t put anyone in danger as a driver and it was hard for me to ride like that. But it’s okay to see the true faces of some people. Just thank all the people who support me and who have helped me in these difficult times ”.
A large part of the sanction was worked by several pilots of the paddock, among them Miguel Oliveira and Joan Mir. Both explained that Quartararo must have seen the black flag for his own safety: “If it is clear on television that the monkey cannot be closed, for his own safety the black flag should have been waved.” For his part, Mir pointed out that throwing the bib is a very dangerous action for the rest of the pilots: “What I see as very dangerous is throwing down the bib. It is a material like plastic and it is dangerous. Motorcycles are coming from behind at 200 km / h. That is what I see as very delicate ”.
People outside the padock also gave their opinion on the matter, such as Casey Stoner. The former Australian driver also believes that Quartararo must have seen the black flag for his own well-being: “Whether or not the zipper has been lowered on purpose, Quartararo, I think they should have raised a black flag. At this level it is not possible to run at more than 350 km / h with the suit open ”.
Finally, Marc Márquez, and already at a sporting level, was very satisfied with the sensations despite falling again. The Catalan rider points out that he can now juggle on the bike: “Today I did enjoy those first seven laps. My race ended too early, but at least they came out ”.
