Recently, YouTube has started to actively fight against ad blocking all over the world – now it is almost impossible to watch YouTube with active ad blocking. A substantial jump in prices in several countries is also expected.
The biggest sufferers are the very cheap countries where YouTube Premium only cost a couple of euros. In Argentina, the price has been doubled for the YouTube Premium family plan, which now costs around 4 euros per month. I didn’t check, but probably the cheap Turkish YouTube Premium subscription is not so cheap anymore.
In Germany, the YouTube Premium price jump for one user is EUR 1 (from EUR 12 to EUR 13), while the price of the YouTube Premium family plan has increased by EUR 6 to EUR 24 per month.
For now, the prices in Latvia do not seem to have changed and they are 8.49 euros per user or less than 13 euros per month for up to 6 users for the YouTube Premium family plan.
