Alphabet Inc’s YouTube announced a fix for its main app and YouTube TV, after thousands of users reported problems accessing the video streaming site yesterday.
And the website (Down Detector), which tracks outages of Internet services and websites, showed that there were more than 12,000 incidents of people reporting encountering problems with YouTube yesterday afternoon.
Down Detector tracks outages by compiling reports from a number of sources, including reports from users on its platform. The malfunction may have affected a larger number of users.
“Good news, fixed! You can go back to browsing YouTube TV or the main YouTube app as usual,” YouTube announced on its status page.
