Controversy in sight between the United States, Germany and Russia against a background of censorship.
Indeed, YouTube has removed the German versions of the Russian channel from its platform Russia Today accusing them of having violated its guidelines for disinformation on coronaviruses.
A decision which is, of course, not to Moscow’s taste: the Russian Foreign Ministry reports a unprecedented act of media aggression , alleging that the German authorities are behind this ban and that the adoption of retaliatory measures against the German media seems not only appropriate but also necessary .
The German government has already said it has nothing to do with the move and warned Moscow against possible retaliation against German media in Russia.
Russian media watchdog Roskomnadzor threatened to restrict access to YouTube in Russia, accusing the company of censure .
