A youth services cooperative has just been created. About fifteen young people have embarked on this adventure, which allows them to take on responsibilities like real bosses and to offer commercial services for a summer. A first in northern Moselle.

They are twelve, aged 16 to 19. Two weeks ago, none knew each other but all shared a life: that of carrying out a professional experience. Better: an entrepreneurial experience.
Today, Chloé, Tanguy, Yanis, Amine and the others form a close-knit group, ready to roll up their sleeves for a summer. These twelve young people from Thionville and Yutz embarked on an unprecedented adventure in northern Moselle: a youth service cooperative (CJS). They baptized it Nexus and are guarantors from start to finish of its proper functioning. Quotes, invoicing, management of schedules and interventions: they will have to be vigilant about everything.
Small jobs, childcare, help with homework…
Supported by Capprendre, a Moselle employment cooperative, the young people have defined a series of services that they are able to offer to the general public, businesses, communities, landlords, etc. Maintenance of premises, small DIY jobs, childcare, help with homework, but also video editing or graphic design are part of the range of their services. They will be invoiced by the CJS. Profits will be shared equally at the end of the summer.
Funding from the City Contract, the urban community and the municipalities of Yutz and Thionville enabled this initiative to take place. The launch took place on July 19, at the youth center of the Le Lierre social center, rue du Four-Banal.
The partners were present but also a whole cohort of teenagers. Indirectly, it’s about getting young people from priority neighborhoods interested in the world of entrepreneurship and giving them a unique experience.
