Youth Protest Against Central Neglect: DYFI Forms Human Chain with 10 Lakh Participants

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The DYFI will stage a chain of resistance on Saturday starting from in front of the Kasaragod railway station and ending at the Raj Bhavan in Thiruvananthapuram, raising the slogan ‘Shall we tolerate this central neglect’? The human chain will be formed in protest against the railway travel plight, the Centre’s hiring ban and economic sanctions against the state. DYFI said that farmers, workers, students and teachers from various walks of life will join the rally with more than 10 lakh youth.

After completing the trial chain at 4:30 pm, the human chain will be completed at 5:00 pm and the oath will be taken. Then a general meeting will also be organized in the main centers. All India President AA Rahim Kasargod will be the first link. DYFI’s first president EP Jayarajan will be the last link in front of the Raj Bhavan.

CPM State Secretary MV Govindan will inaugurate in front of Raj Bhavan and Mahila Association All India President Mrs. PK Smt. CPM leaders S Ramachandranpilla, MA Baby, DYFI All India General Secretary Himagnaraj Bhattacharya, State Secretary VK Sanoj, President V. Wasif etc. will participate.
