Three young people attacked six passers-by on Friday afternoon.
Wien. Due to the violent attacks by radical Turks on demonstrators and the massive acts of vandalism on New Year’s Day, Reumannplatz in Vienna-Favoriten has achieved notoriety in the media beyond the borders of Vienna. The conditions have become intolerable for neighbors and business people as well as their employees. On Friday afternoon there were again two attacks by migrant youth.
First attack. At around 4:45 p.m. the police are called for a brawl. A verbal argument between three young people and an older man at a tram stop had escalated. A 37-year-old who wanted to help the pensioner was also attacked. A video of the incident shows the attackers attacking a man. One of them lashes out and even kicks the man in the face, another hits him on the head. When the perpetrators see the police car, they flee.
Beatings on a woman’s head for filming
Second attack. The police are called again at 5.30 p.m. Witnesses tell officers that the same perpetrators came back and attacked two men (58, 59) and one woman (47). Another video actually shows a woman pulling out the cell phone to film. The perpetrators try to knock the smartphone out of her hand and surround her. Then someone hits her on the head. The victims got off lightly. All of them at least refused the emergency services. Nevertheless, the scenes are disturbing and show that the problem with the violent migrants living there has not yet been resolved.
