Youth Advisory Team Holds Online Prayer Vigil for Peace in Holy Land and Worldwide

The Youth Advisory Team of the Congregation for the Laity, Family and Life of the Holy See held a prayer vigil online, inviting everyone to pray for peace in the Holy Land and in the world.

(Vatican News) The Youth Advisory Team (IYAB) of the Holy See’s Congregation for Laity, Family and Life held an online prayer vigil at 9 pm on October 21 to pray for peace in holy places and other places. Émile Abou Chaar, a young Lebanese member of the team, told this news network, “We thought about what we could do to respond to Pope Francis’ call for peace,” and then decided to hold this online prayer meeting together.

Since Char is from Lebanon, many people asked him about the situation in the Middle East, how to provide assistance in this situation, and so on. “The best thing we can do is to unite in spirit and work together to make the world a kinder place so that there is peace in the Middle East,” Char said.

In addition, Char also mentioned, “The situation is very chaotic now, a lot of injustice is happening, and many things are puzzling.” “What we can do, however, is to respond to the Pope’s call to pray fervently for the grace of peace and for the conversion of our hearts.”

“I have personally been in contact with several people in the Holy Land, some of whom are of Palestinian background and some of whom are of Israeli background,” Char said. “Everyone is a victim of the current events because they did not choose this situation. They do feel Fear and incomprehension. The only thing they can hope for is that the problem will be solved quickly.”
