The Egyptian artist Yousra came under sharp attack by Lebanese female artists, after she used the word “events” to describe what is happening in Lebanon, when she was talking about Lagouna International Film Festival, because they believed that the description minimizes the level of suffering that the Lebanese people suffer.
The story began when Yousra announced the possibility of canceling the festival, saying, “Events happen suddenly and you don’t know what will happen. That will happen, so it will happen. you cancel a festival or create a need for the event itself, but how much we appreciated the year that happens.” and we did this, and we cannot do this in every situation.”
Yousra’s statements angered some Lebanese actresses, as actress Rula Hamada said in a tweet on the “X” platform, saying, “Actress Yousra, I would like to draw your attention that it is not events that are happening in Lebanon, but instead a war launched by Zion’s occupation force against our country.
Meanwhile, Lebanese artist Lauren Qudeih attacked artist Yousra in a tweet that said, “Arab actress Madame Yousra, salute with the smell of gunpowder from the missiles falling over on our heads and our dreams, mixed with the blood of our heads. martyrs.” Events .. the events in Lebanon that happened how many days ago?? Qudaih said, “You have learned where you are, and you are an exciting actor. This attack prompted Besra to respond, as she wrote in a post on her social media accounts, “Lebanon is my second country, and my heart is full of sadness over every inch of it… which has the the whole aim is to change the content of the speech to catch us.”
She said: “I am here to confirm that the content of my speech is that the people of Egypt, heart and soul, are with all the Arab countries that are going through difficult situations, and that this festival is keep existence in the first place. support the causes through art and cinema, and we do not underestimate the importance of the events taking place.”
Yousra concluded her post by saying, “I clearly expressed my deep sadness about everything that is happening in our country and our Arab country regarding enemy attacks… May God protect our country and bring our enemies down.”
