Yannick Noah is about to become a father for the 6th time at the age of 64. An unusual occurrence that has caused a lot of reactions, starting with those close to the former tennis player turned singer.
This is the former winner of Roland Garros 1983 who tells it in an interview given to our French colleagues from the newspaper “L’Équipe”. The sportsman did not hide having been called “crazy”! “Can you believe that? It captures the imagination of all sixty-year-olds, seriously!” he said again in this interview recorded at the end of the recent “Laver Cup” (an annual men’s tennis competition organized under the leadership of Roger Federer) in Berlin.
Being a grandfather and (re)becoming a father at over 60 is not common and Yannick Noah is well aware of this. But with his partner Malika – 31 years younger than him – it’s a story that rolls, as proven by the upcoming birth of their daughter. He confides that this announcement has upset his loved ones. Enthusiastic and not caring what people will say, Noah also announced that the arrival of his daughter would be concomitant with another strong moment for the clan. “My darling and I are expecting a little girl next month, probably the same week as Youks (Joakim, her eldest son)! I’m living my best life! I’m doing things I like, everything’s going well, I feel very privileged.”

As a reminder, Yannick is the father of several children. Joakim in 1985 and Yelena in 1987 with the Swedish model and Miss Sweden 1978, Cecilia Rodhe. And two daughters a few years later with Heather Stewart-Whyte: Eleejah born in 1996 and Jenaye born in 1997. In 2003, he is again the father of a little boy named Joalukas while he shares the life of Isabelle Camus. And here we are in 2024 and the announcement of this 6th paternity. All this without counting his two grandchildren: little Leia Irie (born in 2016, daughter of Joakim and Isabelle Cutrim) and little Nohea (born in 2017, son of Yéléna Noah and Kadu de Rosa).
