It’s almost time. Lowlands 2023 is about to erupt on the festival site in Biddinghuizen. The program is full of beautiful surprises. From music to comedy and from science to films. Are you going to one of the biggest Dutch festivals for the first time? We give you useful tips for your first visit to Lowlands.

Your transport to Biddinghuizen
Of course it just depends on where you prefer or where you live, but you can come to Biddinghuizen in many ways! So there are super handy coaches which depart from many places in the Netherlands. In addition, there are fast shuttle buses that run to and from station Lelystad and Dronten. The shuttle bus runs from Thursday 10:30 am and will take you all the way to the entrance! In addition, the NS offers special train tickets on, which will save you money and arrive at the festival faster.
NB: The NS has indicated in advance that there will be work in the weekend of Lowlands. So keep a close eye on the news items and the NS app!
Of course you can also use the auto come, but for that you need a parking ticket. There is a limited road network around Lowlands, which often causes traffic jams on Monday mornings. Then you may have to stop for a while in the parking lot. Are you coming by car? Then load that car full of cozy Lowlands-goers, carpool (via the Slinger app) is better for the environment!

Your entrance to Valhalla
Of course you already scored tickets for Lowlands a long time ago. Ticket sales are also referred to as a battlefield among festival-goers. But if you have succeeded, it is now time to look for them. Long search is not necessary because if all goes well your mobile only ticket just in you Ticketmaster-account. Just open the app and go with that banana!
You are welcome at the camping and festival grounds from Thursday morning. If you arrive at 09:00, take into account waiting in line. Every edition there are a lot of festival goers who want to get a good camping spot. In addition to a beautiful bracelet, you will also receive special treatment. Your belongings are (just like at Schiphol) by the baggage scan fetched. For example, glass and other unauthorized baggage are checked. Please wait!
In addition, the campsites, camper camping and Gllamp camp must be empty again on Monday 12:00. Please take into account traffic jams around the car park, it can be very busy!

Tip: If you come later, it’s good to know that you can arrive 24 hours a day. The wristband tent is always open. So you can also leave and re-enter the site if you have your festival wristband on your arm.

Spend the night at the Lowlands campsites
Lowlands has six regular campsites on the left side of the festival site. In addition, there is also a group camping, camper camping, glamping and an area with pitched tents (easy camp). It is a short walk from the car park and bus stop. It can be quite a walk, but it just depends on which campsite you want to settle on.
Navigate with your car to Bijsselseweg 32 in Biddinghuizen to arrive at the car park. Are you coming by camper or are you staying at the Gllampcamp? Then navigate to Alikruikweg 4 in Biddinghuizen.
Immediately regular weekend ticket you get direct access to the regular campsite. But if you go for extra luxury, such as a group spot or glamping, you need one apart ticket to have. What is also good to know, there is no separate camping program. The festival site is very close by and divided in such a way that you can go all night and then roll into your tent.
What is really handy is that they have a circular zzz air mattress service at Lowlands. Then you simply pick up your inflated air mattress and you can then leave it behind. Useful!
Tip: Do you really want to be assured of a good camping spot? Then come on Thursday and on time! Last year, these places were quickly filled after the opening of the camping gates.

The Thursday before the regular festival program
At Lowlands you are already welcome at (part of) Cape Lowlands from Thursday afternoon 12:00. In recent years it has become extremely busy on Thursdays. And rightly so, because there is a wonderful program for Lowlands visitors who take a day off earlier. Enjoy the Silent Disco from 17:00 that you can experience anywhere on the site. The DJs are in the India and Bravo until 03:00, leaving half of the site a surprise.
Would you like to chat a bit more with your friends? Then you are welcome at the X-Ray and Hacienda. On Thursday evenings, the best beats come out of the speakers at a whisper level. Check it all out yourself Thursday program of Lowlands and discover where you start the weekend with partying.
Tip: Come a little on time and make sure you have silent disco headphones! You can even listen to the various DJs from your camping spot. Ideal entertainment if you have to wait for your friends or eat a sausage sandwich.

Terrain
The Lowlands site consists of two parts. You can already on Thursday Cape Lowlands (South of the map) where you’ll find the Bravo, India, X-Ray, Hacienda, and ArmadiLLow. Here you can also eat something delicious and go to the parties in the Adonis, the most extravagant tent of them all. On Friday, Saturday and Sunday you are also welcome at Planet Paradise. This is the upper part where the mainstage (Alpha), Heineken, Lima, Echo and Juliet are located. Here you will find much more food and you can really imagine yourself in the world kitchen of your dreams.
It is good to know that you are allowed to take one open can or plastic bottle of maximum 0.5 liters per entrance to the festival site. You can of course also take sunscreen with you, but glass (not even on the campsite), umbrellas, etc. are not allowed on the festival site. But above all, bring your festival spirit, then we will make Lowlands the most beautiful weekend of the year.
Tip: You can pay for your coins with cash and pin. You can also buy these from the friendly employees or from a vending machine. There is no ATM on site. For smokers there is often a tobacco stall.
Continue in the ArmadiLLow for 24 hours
Do you come to Lowlands to spend the nights? Then your wish will come true, because it does not matter at what time you come, it is always a party at the ArmadiLLow. Until Monday morning 08:00, the DJs will continue to spin at the chimneys with climbing frames. You look your eyes out and can keep walking in circles until you roll into your bed. Which ArmadiLLow DJ are you most looking forward to?
