Android 12 has already stood out, but only in beta and on some devices. While waiting for a generalization of this new version of the OS, the deployment of Android 11 is continuing to gradually affect slightly older smartphones.
After updating most of its high and mid-range models, Samsung is attacking its Galaxy A10s. Launched in August 2019, on the entry level, the mobile will very soon benefit from its ticket for Android 11 through a major update which will also include the latest security patch concocted by the Korean giant.
Android 11 approaching the A10s
Note however that Samsung seems to have taken a little ahead of its initial deployment schedule for Android 11. If we refer to the program shared by the brand in December 2020, the Galaxy A10s should have switched to Android 11 in next august. According to SamMobile, the precious sesame will likely arrive a few weeks earlier. Its deployment has indeed started today in Malaysia and Vietnam. It is therefore likely to materialize soon in Europe, probably before the end of July.
As the site explains, the update bears the reference “A107FXXU8CUG1”. In particular, it brings with it a revamped interface, improved native applications, better access to controls for the connected home, and even more options for the lock screen. Fixing bugs and improving the performance and stability of the Galaxy A10s are also on the menu.
As a reminder, the device had been launched under Android 9.0. Android 11 is therefore the second and last major update expected on the A10s, which is not affected by the three years of support promised by Samsung for certain models. Next year, the mobile will therefore have to be content with simple security updates.
