“Your body smells. Your daughter lives too dirty and doesn’t clean the room well, so the room is like a pig house.”

Infuriated by these words, a man who murdered his wife with a blunt weapon after 11 days of marriage was sentenced to imprisonment. According to courts on the 3rd, the 1st Criminal Division of Gongju Branch of the Daejeon District Court sentenced Mr. A to 10 years in prison, accused of murdering his wife (murder).

Mr. A got close while helping Mr. B’s (female) financial difficulties, whom he had known for about 7 years, and he even filed a marriage registration in August of last year.

But when we started living together, the quarrel began. The two had a big fight over problems with their daily habits and income, and went on a trip near Gongjubo in Gongju City, Chungcheongnam-do for the purpose of reconciliation.

This trip turned into a fire. While drinking together, when Mr. B insulted Mr. A and his daughter, Mr. A couldn’t stand his anger and pulled out a blunt from the trunk of the car and struck Mr. B’s head several times. Mr. A strangled Mr. B, saying, “What are you doing to ruin your home?” B, who was transferred to a hospital for treatment, died on the 18th day after the marriage report and a week after the injury.

The judge said, “The criminal technique is cruel, but it seems that the crime was due to psychological pressure coming from the relationship with the victim,” and said, “We considered murdering accidentally while arguing for gossip about his daughter,” he said.

The prosecution and the defendant appealed against the sentence, and the first criminal division of the Daejeon High Court (Deputy Judge Baek Seung-yeop) will be sentenced to a second trial on the 12th.
