Al-Marsad Newspaper: WebMD has revealed that some people experiencing bad breath can be a sign of fatty liver disease.
He explained, on the medical website, that the odor emitted, known as liver stench, combines a mixture of rotten eggs and garlic. The site has indicated that this smell is not related to hygiene or dental health and that brushing your teeth may not help solve the problem.
The site states that the odor is caused by the secretion of dimethyl disulfide and methyl mercaptan, resulting from an increase in methionine, and this leads to the accumulation of sulfur substances in the bloodstream and makes its way to the lungs before exhaling.
