A missing woman was found dead in a solarium six days after she was reported missing in Larvik.

The woman was reported missing on 18 February. She was found dead six days later.
It was Østlands-Posten who mentioned the case first.
The woman was found dead inside a locked solarium room at the Brun og Blid solarium in Larvik.
According to acting head of crime at Larvik police station, Cathrine Lund, it should be a case of suicide. Police have completed an investigation into the case.
The woman is said to have been in her mid-20s.
The police have seen surveillance photos of the woman entering the solarium room, lund informs VG.
It was a technician who was to perform maintenance in the solarium who found the deceased woman, writes Østlands-Posten.
The general manager of the solarium, Asle Eikeland, tells VG that there is a problem with the understanding of a locked door in the studio that forms the background for the woman not being found earlier.
Cleaning staff clean the studio every day, says Eikeland.
He calls the incident tragic.
– It is tragic for the relatives, he says to VG.
– This is a very tragic failure. I have been in the business since 1984, and I have never experienced this before, he adds.
The general manager explains that cleaning personnel should either be informed about why a door in the studio is locked, or the company should be routinely contacted.
Eikeland emphasizes that the cleaning company does a good job.
– We perceive that the laundry agency that works with us does a fantastic job. It is washed at least once a day, which is industry standard. Here, there has been a problem with the understanding of a locked door, he says.
Eikeland says that the police in Larvik have informed that there was nothing personnel related to the solarium could do to prevent the incident. Cathrine Lund at Larvik police district confirms this.
VG has not succeeded in getting in touch with the cleaning company that washes at Brun og Blid in Larvik.
The general manager of the company tells Østlands-Posten that the cleaner who washes at the solarium was upset when she became aware of the incident.
– By then she had already decided that she could not wash there anymore, and we respect that, even though she could not have saved the woman’s life, says the general manager of the newspaper.
Acting crime boss at Larvik police district, Cathrine Lund, confirms that the relatives have been informed that VG is discussing the case.
