Other swimmers went looking for the woman and, according to Omroep Brabant, could only find her after some time. According to eyewitnesses, she was under water for almost 20 minutes. Emergency services resuscitated her.

The woman is said to have been lying on an air mattress in the water and fell off. Other swimmers then came to the rescue. About 20 minutes later, a man found the young woman, who is said to have been lying at a depth of about five meters.

‘They were teenagers’

According to a witness with whom the Brabant regional TV channel spoke, it concerns a girl or young woman who belonged to a Polish group of friends. They would have been around 18 years old.
