In the preliminary round of the group of four, Fischbacher met TV Augsburg. The Palatinate made a successful debut in the most important team tournament in the youth sector with a 6: 2. The second match against VfL Lohbrügge turned into a thriller. As expected, the Lohbrüggers had lost the first match to TV Refrath, the top-tier tournament favorite, with 0: 8. In the NRW team, however, a line-up error was later discovered, which led to the conversion to 8: 0 for VfL Lohbrügge. The SVF had to win as high as possible against the northern representatives to still have a small chance to progress. The Fischbachers have won all three doubles with David Eckerlin / Finn Busch, Moritz Miller / Bruno Steffen-Sánchez and Amelie Jacob / Lilly Reiter. Winning the women’s doubles by 12-year-old Lilly and 14-year-old Amelie was a minor sensation. After the boys and Louisa Marburger had won in singles and mixed, the score was 8: 0. Then the SVF met with TV Refrath, who later won the title without losing a match. With the help of the Augsburg team, SV Fischbach progressed to the semi-finals.
