For his part, the young man’s father, a man originally from Cuba identified as Jorge Castellanos, thanked the media for giving visibility to his son’s case, stating that the police were still investigating the case.

The subject was later identified as Jamal Wayne Wood, 37, who did not reside in El Doral. Both the young Cuban and the shooter were pronounced dead at the scene.
