With regard to the fact that this Monday is the national youth day, the deputy director of the Community Technology Centers (CTC), Elvin Remigio, urged the youths to take advantage of the technological training offered by the institution for free.
The CTC are spaces where the Social Policy Cabinet executes the program Chance 14-24, which seeks lto social and labor reintegration of the youths with formal and informal socio-educational solutions, assistance schemes and human development.
“The importance of this program is that it seeks to generate jobs, training and education for thousands of youths throughout the country,” said Remigio.
He recalled that like Juan Melchor Bosco, in honor of whom the national youth day, and who is considered the father and teacher of the Youths, in the CTC they are dedicated to working fervently in favor of youth, and specifically in their technological training.
“We are fully aware that the youths today more than ever they need our help and our friendly hand, and in that sense the CTC follow the policy headed by President Luis Abinader, which is to ensure that every day youths be more prepared, and therefore, be more productive and have greater opportunities” he explained.
According to Remigius, in the CTC work has also been done to break the digital divide that has existed for a long time in the Dominican Republic, and in this context he mentioned the workshops and courses they offer to train youths in matters and skills related to technology, especially in vulnerable communities.
