The Willebroek mayor Eddy Bevers (N-VA) was harassed a few days ago by some young people. It may have been a few loitering youths who in recent days already caused a lot of nuisance in the center of Willebroek and detonated small bombs near the new park Brouwershof, near the library.
Police confirm that the mayor has filed a complaint. He would have been verbally attacked in the center of Willebroek and was also pushed during the incident. The mayor was not injured.
During a police action, Monday evening, seven young people were arrested for causing a nuisance and not complying with the corona measures. In recent days, the police have also been carrying out extra surveillance in other places in the municipality because there are more reports of loitering youths.
