Mumbai: Young Mumbai Indians batsman Nehal Vadhera says batting with Suryakumar Yadav against Royal Challengers Bangalore has given him confidence.
Suryakumar led Mumbai Indians to victory with 83 runs off 35 balls and Vadhera scored an unbeaten 52 off 34 balls. Nehal Vadhera’s words at the helm of the smash win:-
“It was a blessing to get the opportunity to bat in the top order. So I was able to score back-to-back half-centuries. I am happy with that and I am confident that if I keep batting till the end I can win the team.
Surya Bhai (Suryakumar Yadav) is a great player and I try to copy some of his shots but often I can’t. ‘Play, play,’ he was exuding confidence. I played a scoop in the previous match against Chennai, which I had not played before and learned from Surya bhai. Very happy to emulate,’ he added.
