Young man stabbed for allegedly blocking Facebook friend

A young man was stabbed yesterday afternoon, Tuesday, by an alleged friend who was upset because he blocked him from Facebook.

According to the investigation of the San Juan Assault Division, the events occurred at 5:30 pm in the Manuel A. Pérez residential area in Hato Rey, when the injured party identified as Félix G. Cintrón Mangual, 21, was he met another young man with whom he had had differences, for reasons that were not specified in the news report, who claimed him because he eliminated him from the group of friends on the social network.

The two argued and a fight broke out during which it is alleged that he pulled out a knife and attacked him in the chest.

The alleged assailant also threatened him with death.

Cintrón Mangual’s father separated them and took him to the San José Dispensary. Then the paramedics transported him to the Medical Center in Río Piedras where he was detained. His condition is stable.

The investigation continues and at this stage no one has been arrested.

According to the daily statistics of Type I Crimes, attacks in the San Juan police area today reflect an increase of 1.9%.
