An argument between two young people ended the life of one of them over the weekend in the province of Santiago de Cuba, after he was stabbed several times.
According to independent journalist Yosmany Mayeta Labrada, the incident occurred on the afternoon of last Saturday, March 9, around 2:00 pm, in the Chicharrones neighborhood of the main city.
Relatives of the victim’s partner, who requested to remain anonymous, indicated that the young man fell to the ground during the fight, which the other subject took advantage of to stab him three times.
After the attack, the young man was taken to the hospital, but died from his injuries about an hour and a half later.
Some witnesses told the independent journalist that the suspect, identified as Janier Polemo, shouted that he did not regret anything during the attack, even stating that he would do it again.
Other people claimed that the victim and the aggressor had already had conflicts in the past, so there is a possibility that this fight arose because of a previous argument.
According to the complaint, the aggressor is already in the custody of the National Revolutionary Police (PNR), although it is unknown to which unit he was transferred.
The incident generated concern among Internet users, who pointed to the undeniable increase in insecurity that has been experienced in recent months in the province of Santiago de Cuba.
Just last week, the case of a young nurse who was murdered by her ex-husband in the same territory became known. The victim was identified as Samantha Heredia, while the aggressor responds to the name of Pedro Carmenaty.
According to the information, Heredia, 22 years old, graduated from the School of Nursing and Health Technology in Santiago de Cuba in 2022, and worked at the ‘Josué País García de Micro III’ Polyclinic.
“The young woman was brutally beaten and then beaten,” On that occasion, a relative of the victim stated to the journalist Mayeta Labrada.
Likewise, the case of a person who suffered from mental problems was reported, who attacked his mother and tried to end his brother’s life. who had to stab him to defend himself, ending his life.
“What happened was that my uncle beat her and threw her, that’s when he broke her head and hip, now she can’t move. Then he told her that if he said anything about her he was going to kill her and my dad,” said the victim’s granddaughter.
