Young Latvian pop music artists invite to a concert / Article / LSM.lv

On Wednesday, July 22, the youngest generation of Latvian pop music will perform at the cultural bar “Balodis”, this year’s debutants – the group “Bekars”, singers Loreta Reide and Tom Simo with accompanying groups, the representatives of the musicians informed.

The organizers of the event note that all musicians are young and very motivated to address and move a wide audience with their music.

The band “Bekars” released the album “Sākums” this April, while Loreta Reide presented her mini album “Weapons” at the end of May. Tom Simo has now released the song “No More” and promises more recordings this fall.

Everyone works in the pop music genre, but each has its own influences, so on Wednesday evening, July 22, a concert in three different parts is expected in Pārdaugava Culture Bar “Balodis”.

About musicians

Loreta Reide is a young singer who writes and performs her own music. On May 27, she presented her first EP format album “Weapons”, made in collaboration with experienced musicians – producer Kaspars Ansons and singer Agnes Rakovsky. The album has four songs – “Zāles” was the first single to gain recognition during Radio 5 and was viewed 12,965 times on Youtube in four months. With the release of the album, the single “Weapons” is released, which is a duo with the young singer Klāvs Ozols. The song is currently in the current top of “Muzikālās banka”. It is expected that in the autumn of 2020 Loreta Reide will warm up the concerts of the group “Triana Park” in Riga, Sigulda and Valmiera.

“Bekars” is a group of four friends from Bauska, who, in their own words, “can be powerful at youth parties, as well as polite and solid at weddings and corporate events”. They were musically inspired by artists such as Coldplay, singers Jacob Collie and Bruno Mars. On April 3 of this year, “Bekars” released his eight songs debut album “Home”, from which the single “Good to Be” has a video clip. In turn, the presentation of the debut album took place in the digital environment according to the time of distance.

Toms Samsons or Tom Simo comes from Saldus, but is currently studying popular and jazz music at Liepāja Secondary School of Music, Art and Design. The musician became known for his first single “Far”. Although his musical career has just begun, the musician has already given several concerts and gone to his first miniature “Neons”. This year Tom Simo has released the song “No More” and plans more news in the autumn.
