GREENWICH. The tragic event took place in a student hockey game in Greenwich, USA. Teddy Balkind from team St. Luke fell on the ice during the match and collided with an opponent from Brunswick.
After the collision, he unhappily cut Balkind’s neck with a skate. Paramedics gave the young hockey player first aid, but he later died at the hospital.
“We are devastated. This is an unimaginable tragedy. I spoke to the headmaster of St. Luke’s School and contacted the boy’s family.
We are ready to offer them any help and support we can provide in such a difficult period.
