Thrissur: The defendant in the case of killing a young engineer in Thrissur Putekkara has been arrested. Tinu Peter, a bakery employee in East Kota, was arrested by police for the murder of Putekkara resident Arun Kumar.
Arun and Tinu were friends. A drunken argument led to the murder. Arunkumar was found injured on the road to Putekkara at around 2am on Tuesday 27th December. He was then admitted to Thrissur Medical College Hospital but died in the morning. The cause of his death was a severe head injury.
The breakthrough in the case came when there were eyewitnesses who spoke to Arun Kumar on a bicycle.
