The young American golfer Davis Thompson, who is playing his third tournament on the PGA Tour as a professional and doing so at the invitation of a sponsor, became the first leader of the Rocket Mortgage Classic held in Detroit (Michigan), whose opening day could not be concluded for lack of light.
