Rachel and Liam aren’t the only ones to miss out on their winnings because of a little mistake like this. In 2015, a father almost missed out on 73 million euros in the Euromillions.
“Within three weeks, we lost everything, it’s a story with a happy ending. And to think that for more than a month, I kept without knowing it, and without paying attention, my game receipt which was worth 73 million euros in my wallet that I carry with me every day” confided the father of the family to the FDJ.
The winner had 60 days to make themselves known. When he arrived at the FDJ, the employees let him know that they were impatiently waiting for him.
