“It’s completely shameful and shocking”
“This is an isolated act, without any warning signs, especially since all our instructors are hired with a certificate of good conduct and morals, comments Dominique Gardeur, director of BDK Stage. We reacted immediately, by removing the people concerned and filing a complaint with the police. We have to take responsibility. But when I saw that, my blood boiled, these people have no place in the world of children! It’s a sad first for us, in several decades, but we clearly couldn’t let this go. There was no touching or anything else, but these mimes and the fact of filming on top of that, it’s completely shameful and shocking. I think first of the parents, who want fun and safety for their child. And also of our team of instructors, who are tarnished by these acts, while they are irreproachable and had the right attitude. It’s very difficult. We tell ourselves that it only happens to others, but ultimately, no one is safe.”
Parents’ reactions have been mixed, with some praising the quick response while others are withdrawing their child(ren) from BDK courses. “We immediately took the children to safety and acted in the most professional manner possible.”assures Dominique Gardeur.
The Luxembourg prosecutor’s office, which does not want to comment on the case, confirmed that an investigation is underway.
