Young adults with cancer are still too often approached and treated as peers who are older. As a result, the disease is sometimes discovered later in them, which can limit the treatment options. In addition, insufficient justice is done to specific disease-related problems of the younger group. That is what knowledge institute Integral Cancer Center Netherlands (IKNL) says.
