Colleague Abdel Halim Salem reviewed the story of the development and details of the design of the Mokattam Corniche and the Central Plateau on an area of 2 million square meters in the economic newsletter of Al-Youm Al-Sabea TV, as the development of Mokattam has become a tangible reality, especially after the signing of contracts for the design of the giant project that extends over an area of 2 million square meters, which is the signature that It was witnessed recently by Dr. Eng. Mahmoud Mustafa Esmat, Minister of Public Business Sector.
The project represents a qualitative leap for the Mokattam region and comes within the framework of the Ministry of Business Sector’s strategy to improve the utilization of assets owned by subsidiaries in partnership with the private sector and to maximize the returns generated from them.
It will be built on an area of about 2 million square meters in a unique and privileged location overlooking the Pyramids of Giza, Salah El-Din Citadel, Fatimid Cairo, and the Museum of Civilizations, at a cost of about 32 billion pounds pumped by the investor.
It is also divided into two parts, the first, the Mokattam Corniche and the terraces, with an area of 1.3 million square meters, and the second piece, with an area of 750,000 square meters, in the middle plateau (a residential compound with integrated services). It contains residential, commercial, tourism, educational, sports, and other activities.
It is noteworthy that Eng. Mahmoud Esmat, Minister of Public Business Sector, confirmed that the new republic did not leave an inch of the Egyptian state’s lands without extending the hand of urbanization, development, construction and construction through a clear vision of the political leadership whose goal is primarily to achieve a decent life for citizens.
The minister explained that this vision comes within the framework of achieving sustainable development and good management and exploitation of distinctive places of a special nature, in a manner that preserves each region’s unique characteristics and for these regions to become cultural windows that express the civilization and nobility of the Egyptians and their continued contributions to the service of human heritage.
Eng. Esmat added: “We are witnessing the start of a new phase of the giant project to develop the Mokattam Corniche with total revenues exceeding 60 billion pounds. This is a cooperation that we are pleased with and support because it comes within the framework of the ministry’s strategy that is in line with the state ownership policy document by supporting the private sector and opening the way for it to occupy its position.” Natural leadership in the national economy along with the cooperative and government sectors.
