President Volodymyr Zelensky has warned Western countries that if the war is not stopped now, Russia’s next targets could be them. He said this in interview ABC World News Tonight.
“Everyone thinks that we are far from America or Canada. No, we are in this zone of freedom. And when they violate and step on the limits of rights and freedoms, then you must protect us,” he said. “Because we will be the first. In his opinion, today there is a war in Ukraine, and tomorrow it may be “in Lithuania, Poland, Germany.”
Zelensky once again stressed the need to ensure air security for Ukraine.
“We can’t let Russia be just there (in the sky – Ed.) because they are bombing us, firing at us, sending rockets, helicopters, jet fighters – a lot of things,” Zelensky said. “We don’t control our skies.” .
He also believes that US President Joe Biden can do more to stop the war. “I am sure that he can, and I would like to believe in it. He is capable of it,” Zelensky said.
