You will soon be able to adjust your field of view in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War will have a Field of View slider in all versions to adjust the field of view in the game.

Treyarch has announced this via social media, with the developer showing a short gif for illustration. With a Field of View slider it can be determined how wide the field of view of players is and how much of the environment is shown. It’s uncommon for shooters to offer this on all systems, including consoles.

Adjusting the field of view in various shooters can in some cases lead to poorer performance. That’s why this often doesn’t appear in console versions. It is not yet clear whether the slider will affect the performance of Black Ops Cold War on consoles.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is set after the first Black Ops and revolves around the manhunt for Soviet spy Perseus. Just like the first part, the game switches between the 1980s and the Vietnam War. Several well-known characters return, such as Mason, Woods and Hudson. The game includes a multiplayer and Zombies mode. Furthermore, Warzone is integrated into the game, with a battle pass system and free content such as weapons.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War will be released on November 13 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X / S and PC. The game will also be released on PlayStation 5 on November 19. The closed beta of the game begins on PlayStation 4 today. It will be available to all PS4 players this weekend.
