In the tradition of the time paradoxes of Call of Duty remasters, Modern Warfare 2 also gets one or two little Easter eggs. We are rewarded with a trophy for the much too late revenge on General Shepherd.
Already the first mission of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Remastered comes with a special feature. When you’re done reviewing the polished graphics, you shouldn’t be working on your best time in the pit right away.
At the entrance, General Shepherd overlooks the action. If you’re unable to stop him at the end of the campaign, Missed a few balls here, there is a trophy called “Forward-looking persecution madness”. In the remaster of the first modern warfare there is a similar Easter egg with a trophy (time paradox) in which you kill Makarov as early as 1996 during the Chernobyl mission. In Modern Warfare 2 Remastered there is another Easter egg for time travelers. Character Yuri can be seen in the “No Russian” mission, who in turn tries to prevent the airport massacre from “No Russian” in a mission in Modern Warfare 3.
Now there are actually only two questions left to answer: When will a Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Remastered come and which timeline Easter egg will the developers install there?
