The attitude towards cinema in the USA and the USSR has always been different. Those films that were highly appreciated by the Americans only caused bewilderment among the Soviet people and vice versa.
A funny story came out with the picture “Morozko”, first released on the screens in 1964 and intended primarily for children. This tape has become the country’s main New Year’s fairy tale. Until now, every year during the Christmas holidays, he gathers whole families in front of the screens. The project made a completely different impression on foreigners.
The first show brainchild of Alexander Rowe in the United States took place in 1966. The American viewer understood far from everything that he saw on the screen then. Moreover, many came to the unexpected conclusion that this is not a children’s fairy tale, but a horror film. Reviews about the picture were completely negative, nothing has changed over time – it never found its connoisseurs abroad.
