The MediaTek Dimensity 800U processor was officially presented as a more powerful version of the popular Dimensity 800. The system was made in an energy-saving 7 nm process and has a chance to be found in many new smartphones – for example Xiaomi mediums.

MediaTek processors stop being censored after concerns about their energy efficiency and rare updates. Recently, MTK chips have shown very good performance, often approaching the flagship Qualcomm chips.

A new chip for middle-class kids

Another advantage of the layout is its implementation in 7 nm lithographic process (TSMC), which guarantees low energy demand – in the medium range it will be additionally important, because usually we find the largest batteries there and a long working time on a single charge.

The icing on the cake Dimensity 800U is the support for screens refreshed at a high frequency of 120 Hz and support for 64 MP cameras with recording in 4K resolution at 30 frames per second.
