defender Everton, Vitaly Mykolenkorebuked the Russian football player who remained silent in response to the attack on Ukraine.
Mykolenko, who was in England, couldn’t do much to defend Ukraine, which was being attacked by Russia.
The left-back of the Ukrainian national team also has another way of fighting, instead of carrying weapons.
Mykolenko snapped at the Russian players who were silent in responding to this tragedy. The 22-year-old even dared to include the name of the captain of the Russian national team, Artem Dzyuba, in an aggressive message on Instagram.
“While you remain silent along with your football teammates, peaceful civilians are being killed in Ukraine,” Mykolenko wrote.
“You will be locked in a dungeon for the rest of your life and most importantly the lives of your children. And I am happy.”
In addition to writing the message, Mykolenko also displayed a CCTV footage from one corner of the city in Kharkiv which recorded an explosion.
Mykolenko is a Ukrainian footballer who plays in England. Mykolenko and Manchester City defender, Oleksandr Zinchenko, briefly came under the spotlight last weekend after hugging each other ahead of the match at Goodison Park Stadium.
Russia’s attack on Ukraine has killed two footballers. While FIFA and UEFA have decided to exclude the Russian national team and clubs from Russia from participating in the event that is under the auspices of the football body.
