Donald Trump promised “a very big announcement” next week. Many of his closest advisors are now said to have asked him to wait.
In television interviews, at election meetings and in his organization’s e-mails, the former president in recent days has gone all the way by saying that he will run for president again in 2024, without saying it.
On Tuesday, November 15, he invited the media and others to his home, Mar-a-Lago, Florida. There she promised “a very big advertisement”.
Nobody believes in anything other than the fact that he means to tell the world that he will try to become the President of the United States once again.

Nor does Norwegian US expert Eirik Løkke agree on Thursday warned in VG that Trump can actually do more harm than good for Walker and the Republicans if he gets involved in elections in Georgia.
– Nobody attracts more voters for Democrats than Trump, Løkke said.
– Why should anything change?
According to the Washington Post, Trump has consulted with several of his advisers on whether to stick to the plan or postpone the announcement.
Miller tells the paper that he is unaware of anyone in Trump’s inner circle who believes he should stick to his plan to announce his candidacy next week. Five different advisers, who have asked the newspaper anonymity but will all be in regular contact with Trump, say they hope he will wait until after the rematch in Georgia.
So far, the former president hasn’t made a final decision, according to one of the newspaper’s sources. Miller confirms the same. He says a decision will come soon. A Trump spokesperson did not respond to questions from the Washington Post about the case.
In an interview with Fox News on Wednesday, he said however that nothing has changed since the election.
– We’ve been hugely successful. Why should anything change? she asked rhetorically.
Unlike many expertsalso of Trump’s own party, therefore believes that the elections were a success for him also for the party.
I wanted to announce before the election
According to the newspaper Trump was so eager to announce his candidacy that he actually wanted to do so as early as Monday, the day before the mid-term elections. He is said to have been prevented by several Republican Party power figures, worried that this would divert attention from candidates running for election the next day.
They are said to have told Trump that he himself had more to gain by waiting, because he would receive less attention when all the media were busy covering the run-up to the election than they would be the week after. The former president must have heard that argument.
It remains to be seen whether he will listen to pleas to further delay his announcement, but in any case he no longer has the opportunity to capitalize on a ballot in many of the major elections, where “his” candidate was representing the party. Many of these have lost or are in danger of losing.
