In addition to an action-packed trailer, Ubisoft revealed when Star Wars Outlaws will be officially released.
Star Wars Outlaws takes place between the events of The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi, and players can take on the role of a villain named Kay Vess, during the ‘Golden Age of the Underworld’. The trailer reveals that this golden age is thanks to the Zerek Besh syndicate crime lord Sliro and criminal organizations such as the Pykes, Crimson Dawn and the Hutts.

And Kay Vess suddenly falls into the middle of things. It happens that he crosses Sliro’s path in an unknown way, and the man gets angry at him and announces a manhunt against him. In order for the protagonist to get away with all this, he has to steal his wealth to ‘buy’ his freedom.
During our adventures, we meet, for example, Jabba the Hutt, Han encased in carbonite, a Sarlaac, a Krayt Dragon, the Death Squad, AT-ST, but this is only the tip of the iceberg. We also get a glimpse of some of Vess’s crew, including ND-5, the battle droid, a Rodian, a bat-like Chadra-Fan, and of course the adorable axolotl-like Nix. In fact, according to the news, one of the important characters of Solo: A Star Wars Story (Solo: A Star Wars Story), played by Emilia Clarke Lady Qi will also appear in the game.
Outlaws will once again take you to Tatooine, but we can’t just admire this planet, as we will also be able to travel through the stars aboard the Trailblazer. You can also get to Outer Rim planets like Kijimi, Akiva, Toshara and Cantonica (Canto Bight!). There will be no shortage of different races either, as alongside humans and droids there will be Twi’les, Mon Calamari, Gamorreans, Weequays, Sullustans and many others.
Of course, we must not forget that during the game you will also miss the use of Jedi, lightsabers and the Force. This story is all about villains and the underworld, and it looks like that will be the focus throughout.
Star Wars Outlaws will be released on August 30, 2024 for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, Amazon Luna and PC via Ubisoft Connect.
