There are some signs that may indicate skin cancer without anyone noticing, so detecting early symptoms is important for prompt treatment.
According to the British Health Services Authority (NHS) website, there is a sign that non-melanoma skin cancer may appear, and you may notice it while climbing the stairs.
Non-melanoma skin cancer can start in the outer layer of the skin, but as the cancer develops it can spread to other parts of the body.
Non-melanoma skin cancer can be caused by exposure to the sun’s ultraviolet rays, causing damage to the DNA of skin cells, which can lead to the development of cancer.
The sign that shows the disease and can be seen when you climb stairs is shortness of breath or coughing up blood, and shows how serious the cancer is.
Other symptoms of non-melanoma skin cancer
A lump or patch on the skin that does not heal after a few weeks
A small, flat, scaly, irregularly shaped area that is pale, pink or red
Tips to prevent skin cancer:
Avoid exposure to direct sunlight
Be sure to cover your arms and legs and wear a hat and sunglasses on the street.
Use a sunscreen with a sun protection factor (SPF) of at least 30 and ultraviolet protection (UVA) of at least 4 stars.
