As “The Wall Street Journal” calculated, that’s exactly how long the concern will need “General Motors” (GM) for the production of all ordered copies, if the company does not increase production rates.

Currently, due to missing components and logistical complications, GM only produces about a dozen electric “Hummers” per day, but 77 thousand people have already applied for it.
About 700 people work in the modernized factory “GM Factory Zero” in Detroit. The output volume of “Hummer” is currently unusually small, especially considering that its production was started only a year and a half ago. Hummer lags both Ford with its F-150 Lightning and Rivian with its R1T and R1S in production rates. For example, Ford makes about 150 electric pickup trucks every day.
However, GM claims that production of the Hummer EV is on schedule. However, the current production volume was achieved later than originally planned: partly due to the fact that the model was developed completely from scratch on a new platform, the implementation of which required constant quality control.
In the second half of this year, the car manufacturer promises that production rates will increase. This will be achieved by reducing dependence on external suppliers and using self-made battery packs, which will be jointly built with “LG Energy Solution” in the new factory in Ohio.
The new model of the renewed “Hummer” brand debuted in the fall of 2020 as an electric pickup, and in the spring of 2021 it was joined by an electric SUV. Both “Hummer EV” models in their most luxurious version are equipped with three electric motors, which develop 1014 horsepower in the pickup version, and 842 hp in the SUV version. The largest battery pack with a full charge allows you to travel up to 563 km.
Depending on the version and body type, the price of “Hummer EV” is 85 to 110 thousand US dollars.
