At the start of the school year, everyone makes their New Year’s resolution. Why not become a hero? Because everyone has the power to save lives. All you have to do is reach out. The Meaux and region blood donation association invites you to join us on Monday, September 2 from 2:30 p.m. to 7 p.m., in the Altmann room, Place Michel-Houel.

The conditions for giving

So who can donate blood? Of course, you have to be in good health and weigh more than 50 kg.

“Your donation is a civic, supportive and free act that allows you to meet daily needs on a voluntary basis,” the association points out. “The more of you there are and the more regularly you give, the more we can help patients who need it together every day.”

Anticipate possible needs

And he continued: “The need for blood continues to increase. In addition, the summer holidays are a good time for long trips. It is therefore appropriate to anticipate possible additional needs in order to strengthen blood stocks and thus make it possible to treat more than a million patients each year.”

Volunteers must be between 18 and 70 years old (the eve of the 71st). It is necessary to have eaten and drunk.
