Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo and Qatari fan Ghanim Al-Moftah met the reciter of the Koran at the opening ceremony of the ‘Qatar 2022’ FIFA World Cup on Friday night, on the sidelines of Al-Nasr’s match with Al-Taie.
Ghanem Al-Muftah posted a photo of himself with Ronaldo through his official Twitter account, after the match Al-Nasr and Al-Taei (2-0), as part of the 12th round of the Saudi Professional Football League.
Al-Nasr Club also posted a photo of its player with the Qatari youth, and wrote on it: “You have enlightened us, Ghanem.”
The star, Cristiano Ronaldo, continued to face his new team, Al-Nassr, from the stands of the ‘Marsool Park’ stadium, to support his colleagues in front of the Al-Tai team.
Ronaldo was absent from the win list following a penalty handed to him with his former club Manchester United.
