Ten instructions for humanity, in eight of the world’s major languages, carved into the massive granite slabs of a 100-ton monument, and no one knows who commissioned the incredible structure or who owns the piece of land it is built on.

Georgia Guidestones are often referred to as landmarks, Georgia stones, orientation tables, or as an American Stonehenge. Although the Georgia Guidestones have so many alternative names, most people have never heard of them. Even for most Americans, the term Georgia Guidestones means nothing. This fact is almost as mysterious as the monument itself and the questions surrounding it have remained unanswered since its construction. Shortly after the Georgia Guidestones were erected in 1980, those who know of their existence speculate on the exact meaning of the inscriptions carved in granite and speculate on the unknown patron and group of anonymous donors.

The mysterious monument is located in the US state of Georgia on a small hill in Elbert County, about 90 miles east of Atlanta. Highway 77 is nearby and offers good views of the Georgia Guidestones. The monument itself is nearly six meters high and consists of six massive granite slabs weighing a total of about 100 tons: a central slab containing a hole in the center, four star-shaped slabs arranged around the center, and a final slab of top. A few meters from the Georgia Guidestones is another slab of granite embedded in the ground. On this stone tablet there is some very vague information about the monument, its importance, the client and the group that financed the monument. Additionally, there is inaccurate information about a time capsule that is said to be buried under the stone tablet. Estimates are that the Georgia Guidestones may have cost less than millions. This includes the massive granite slabs, the processing of the slabs, the transportation and erection of the monument.

The Georgia Guidestones inscriptions?

As mentioned above, the Georgia Guidestones contain 10 rules aimed at humanity. These were carved from granite in the eight major tongues of the earth, with a different tongue on each side of the four plates aligned in the shape of a star. Starting from the north orientation of the monument, the order is as follows: English, Spanish, Swahili, Hindi, Hebrew, Arabic, Old Chinese and Russian.

Translated, the plaque reads:

Keep humanity under 500 million
in constant balance with nature.

Guide reproduction wisely
to improve suitability and diversity.

Unite humanity
with a new and lively language.

Mastering passion – faith – tradition
and all the rest
with moderate reason.

Protect people and nations
through just laws and courts.

Let all nations manage their affairs internally
and international disputes
settle before a world court.

Avoid irrelevant laws
and useless officials.

Finding a balance between personal rights and
social / social obligations.

Worthy of truth – Beauty – Love
in search of harmony with
the infinite.

Don’t be a cancer to this land
Leave room for nature
Leave room for nature.

However, the original text is not simply constructed in a colormetrical fashion, but has additional indents (see the Wikipedia article or Wikipedia images). It is not known if the unusual sentence structure is for readability only or if it contains hidden messages.

Another message is found on the vertical sides of the Georgia Guidestones faceplate. Here, too, a different language or script was used on each side: Babylonian (north), ancient Greek (east), Sanskrit (south), and Egyptian (demotic) (west) cuneiform hieroglyphs. All four mean the same thing and can be translated into German like this:

May these be stepping stones to an era of sanity.

A granite slab was embedded in the ground a few meters west of the Georgia Guidestones. This contains some information about the languages, facts such as the size, weight and astronomical orientation of the guide stones, as well as the date of construction and sponsors.

There is also information on a time capsule that is said to be buried under the tablet. However, as information on the date of burial and the date of recovery was deliberately left blank, it is doubtful that a time capsule was actually buried. However, no one has looked at it yet.

The plaque itself is aligned with the cardinal points and is written in such a way that you have to look north to read the text. In each corner of the plaque there is a small circle indicating the current cardinal points in English (N, S, E and W). However, there is a peculiarity in the caption: the word “PSEUDONYN” is used. It is speculated here whether this is a misspelling and should actually be called “PSEUDONYM”. Given the large financial outlay for the project, however, it is quite unlikely that the stonemason made an imprudent mistake in enrolling.

At the top of the board it says:

Below these two columns of text is also:

Guide languages:

Under this heading is a schematic diagram of the standing stones, consisting of a small square surrounded by four oblong squares. These points to the northwest, northeast, southwest and southeast.

The names of the eight main languages are carved along the edges, one at each corner. Starting in the north and reading clockwise around the diagram so that the top edge of the northeast quadrilateral is listed first, these are:

English
Spanish
Swahili
Hindi
Jewish
Arabic
Chinese
Russian

At the bottom of the board is the following:

More information available at the Elberton Granite Museum and Exhibition
Viale del Collegio
Elbaton, Georgia

Although the granite plaque embedded in the floor contains a lot of information, it does not answer questions about the client or the group that funded the monument. It also remains unanswered why the Georgia Guidestones have an astronomical orientation, because this is not relevant to the message of the large granite stones.

Who built the Georgia Guidestones?

According to the bulletin board, the order to build the Georgia Guidestones was given by a person named RC Christian. If the aforementioned additional text under the name was indeed a negligent mistake, RC Christian is simply a pseudonym.

There is a lot of speculation about the RC Christian name. The most common theory is that RC Christian is a clear reference to the name Christian Rosencreutz. Christian Rosencreutz is a legendary founding figure of the Rosenkreuzer and was first mentioned around 1614 in the anonymous work “General and general reform of the whole world”. Rosicrucian or Rosicrucian is a collective term for members of various secret societies, societies or mystical orders, whose beginnings date back to the 17th century.

Even less is known about the anonymous sponsors of the Georgia Guidestones. Being, according to their own statements, a small group of Americans, it can be assumed that they were or were very rich, given the high cost of the monument.

Unknown owners

Another mystery surrounding the Georgia Guidestones concerns the piece of land on which the monument was built. The Georgia Mountain Travel Association has no collateral ownership of this small piece of land. Multiple searches have suggested that the land may belong to Mildred and Wayne Mullenix’s farm on Georgia State Highway 77. However, a close inspection shows that Mildred and Wayne Mullenix’s property ends up facing the Georgia Guidestones.

The Georgia Guidestones have a lot of room for conspiracy theories

It is obvious that such a large monument, with an unknown client, anonymous donors, erected on a piece of land that cannot be assigned to anyone, offers plenty of space for a wide variety of conspiracy theories. For example, the Georgia Guidestones are suspected to be the work of the Bilderberg Group or the Illuminati. Georgia Guidestones are regularly smeared with the abbreviation NWO (New World Order).

Perhaps someday the described time capsule will be lifted and perhaps information about the people who planned and funded the Georgia Guidestones will be found there.
