“You don’t visit people at home, no matter how angry you are”: Dutch politicians condemn farmer’s protest at home minister

In recent years, demonstrators have turned up at the door of Dutch politicians. Last year, a man wearing a mask was arrested who had rang the doorbell of Minister Hugo de Jonge several times. And Finance Minister Sigrid Kaag (D66) was also harassed at home by a man who stood in front of her house with a torch. He was eventually sentenced to 6 months in prison.

The Dutch farmers will meet on Monday. New actions are planned, they say, but are now aiming for an action day in The Hague, where the Dutch government sits. For the time being, the action day seems to be planned for June 22.
